Educating with Online Books
Students enrolling in online educational programmes are generally left to fend for themselves. In this regard, online books, also called electronic or e-books, are some of the most available and accessible resources. Although not all authors have resorted to releasing electronic copies of their creations, e-books are widely available on the Internet and can be downloaded either for free or at a cost. These are soft copies of conventional printed books whose text and images have been converted into portable document format (PDF).

E-books online
Hence, all electronic or computer device with PDF reader software may be used to read e-books. Like traditional books, e-books are intellectual properties protected by copyrights or via digital rights management system. Aside from desktops and laptops, most modern mobile phones can now be used to read e-books. Once a copy of an e-book has been stored to a digital reading device, there is no need for internet connectivity to read the e-book. Although more susceptible to damage or loss, e-books are generally beneficial. One of the greatest advantages of e-books is that a text-to-speech software may be employed to convert an e-book into an audio book. Thus, students can study a particular book by just listening to them.
